Three Great Indoor Waterparks for the Family

Posted on 01.04.17

Three Great Indoor Waterparks for the FamilyIf you and your family are seeking a little slice of summer to get you through the winter blues, then one of these indoor water parks may be just what the doctor ordered. With their wave pools, water slides, and exciting zip lines, these indoor parks offer a warm respite from the bitter winter cold.

Splash Lagoon Indoor Water Park: Erie, PA

With its tropical décor and more than 100,000 square feet of space, Splash Lagoon offers your family an island getaway on the East Coast. For those in the family who like a bit of a thrill, the Cyclone and Hurricane Hole offer a speedy ride as guests fly down slides at speeds of more than 40 mph. For those who seek a bit slower speed, the Frog Pond Whirlpool offers guests enormous lily pads and splashing fountains to cool off and relax. For details and pricing information go to splashlagoon.com.

Great Wolf Lodge: Traverse City, MI

Whether you are looking to swim, splash, or shoot down a slide during your water park adventure, Great Wolf Lodge in Traverse City, Michigan has something to offer. From the River Canyon Run, which sends your family gliding through twists and turns on a giant raft, to Fort Mackenzie, a water fort tree house full of interactive toys for kids and teens, the park is full of fun and excitement for everyone. To find out more about their winter hours and pricing go to greatwolf.com.

Fallsview Indoor Water Park: Niagara Falls, Canada

Of the three indoor water parks in the Niagara Falls area, Fallsview is the largest.  Centrally located in the midst of the popular Clifton Hill tourist area, the park is extremely popular with tourists. The location is connected to three hotels and therefore is often very busy, so be prepared to wait in lines for some of the rides. That being said, it is well worth the wait to experience the 16 water slides that are housed on site. From extreme racing water slides and tube slides, the adult-only whirlpools, to the Tiny Tots Splash Park for kids, the park has something to offer everyone in the family. To learn more about all that Fallsview has to offer, go to fallsviewwaterpark.com.
