June 14, 2016 //  by Direct Supply Network - Travel the World

Benedict Inn Retreat & Conference CenterLocated in Indiana…

The Benedict Inn Retreat & Conference Center is a part of the Lady of Grace Monastery. As a ministry of the Sisters of St. Benedict, people of all ages and faiths are invited to take part in programs and retreats that are designed to foster spiritual and personal growth.

The Center which opened in 1981, focuses on the 5th century teachings of Benedict of Norcia, Italy and is housed in the former Lady of Grace Academy. This Center follows St. Benedict’s guidelines for those who are seeking to find happiness and personal fulfillment in every aspect of their lives. St. Benedict believed that all things should be performed in moderation in our daily lives, from eating and sleeping to working and praying, and the Center looks to assist guests in finding the balance needed to have a peaceful and constructive life.

Programs are offered for men, women and children of all ages and faiths.

The Center offers a diverse roster of programs that focus on and encourage individual growth of guests, as well as assisting them in finding a spiritual center. Programs include a Spiritual Direction Internship opportunity. This two-year program has been created for guests who seek to enrich his or her spiritual life, who seek to discover if they have a calling to become a spiritual director and assists in development of skills that are needed to assist others who are in search of spiritual directions.

Guests will also find a Peace & Nature Garden onsite to assist in solitary mediation opportunities. The area, which was once a field of grass, has been cultivated to include a walking path, benches, plants and an overall calming environment. This Garden has been designed to provide the perfect spot for daily meditation and reflection as well as an area that can be used for walking meditation purposes. The space is quiet, safe, and ADA accessible and includes paved walkways, sitting areas, art and sculpture and a selection of plants that have been selected specifically to create a serene atmosphere.
